We drove up just for the day on Saturday, the rain was with us all the way from St Louis and it rained on and off all day with the temperatures in the 40's and 50's. There were very few visitors to the displays which included the WW II area, pony Express, Civil War and early frontier traders and Indians. There was live music, the local Dance School, various craters, Monster trucks, and other small town activities took place during the weekend such as a horse, tractor, lawn mower pulls.
We were there to support the Event so we stayed until the 3pm Battle time in which we had 13 US and 3 Germans which had one German Vehicle, (which equaled 10 Germans, thus it was 13 to 13), The Battle was short and sweet after which the Event broke up and all headed home.
The site location is unique being at the base of the Clarance Clemons Dam, with a public shooting range, plenty of parking, heated restrooms, conscessions stands and pavilions. The site has potential but the weather has been a problem for the past three years, thus the future of this event is in question.
